Printed on a Comfort Colors® 1567 garment-dyed hooded sweatshirt, heavyweight and soft from the very first wear.
↟ Fit: Relaxed and roomy, with a structured drape from the heavyweight fabric. Unisex sizing — most people take their usual size. See the size chart above to be sure.
↟ Garment: Comfort Colors® 1717 by Gildan®, a Canadian company.
↟ Fabric: 100% ring-spun cotton, garment-dyed and pre-shrunk.
↟ Weight: 6.1 oz/yd² (207 gsm) — properly heavyweight, not a thin retail tee.
↟ Cotton: Grown and harvested in the US. Gildan® is a member of the US Cotton Trust Protocol.
↟ Dyeing: Comfort Colors® use their Pigment Pure™ process, which they say uses around three times less water than conventional reactive dyeing.

↟ Printed in: The USA, Canada, the UK, Latvia or elsewhere — usually whichever of our production partners is closest to you, depending on stock. Direct-to-garment, printed to order.
↟ Construction: Twill-taped neck and shoulders, 7/8″ double-needle topstitched collar, double-needle armhole, sleeve and bottom hems.
↟ Design: Original design by Alpine Koala, in rural Victoria, Australia.
↟ Washing: Turn inside out and wash cold — 30°C or below — on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent.
↟ Skip the softener: Fabric softener and bleach both break down the print. If you must bleach, non-chlorine only.
↟ Drying: Hang dry where you can. Tumble dry on low is fine too — it’s high heat that cracks prints over time.
↟ Ironing: Inside out, low heat, and never directly on the design.
↟ No dry cleaning. The solvents and heat are too harsh for printed cotton.
↟ Before the first wash: Keep it out of strong direct sunlight. The pre-treatment used in printing can sun-stain before it’s washed out.
↟ First few washes: Garment-dyed cotton can release a little colour, so wash with similar shades to begin with. A faint vinegar smell or slight residue is normal from printing and rinses straight out.
↟ Colour variation: Every tee is garment-dyed, so shades vary a little between items. That’s the process, not a fault — it’s what gives the colour its depth.
↟ Storing: Fold rather than hang. Hangers stretch the neck over time.
Looked after, these only get better — garment-dyed cotton softens with every wash.
